I hope everyone had a great Christmas! Heath's family came into town and spent some time with us. My Aunt Lori died. Heath's Grandma Harvey died. The store was busy & so was the restaurant. Heath surprised me with a new 4-wheeler! We went to Temple Square twice, and ate so much food none of my new clothes fit. I'm still eating until New Years though. Happy Holiday!

All the Pretty Bows...

McKenzie's favorite toy was the 4-wheeler, she can't steer it but still fun running into walls.

Little Girl

To my Aunt the Beauty Queen
Your life was something unforeseen.

"Why"-we ask ourselves today
did your sweet tale end up this way?

You struggled so much with yourself
while the "real" girl sat upon a shelf.

No one will know your absolute pain
and whom among us is to blame?

You once were someone's little girl
and to him you meant the world.

I like to hope he set you free
from the bonds that were so clear to see.

Goodbye dear Aunt- you were untouched
I know you will be missed very much.

Flyin' High..

Good news! Heath passed his Certified Flight Instructor exam, which means at the beginning of the year he will be a paid pilot. This is something he has been working on for YEARS.
We are so proud of him!!!

Rudolph, Is That You?

The irony: these friendly neighborhood deer eat off of the hay that Heath has fashioned into a target so he can practice killing deer.
You need some vaseline with that?

Two Wives and a Psycho

I just finished this book called "The Boleyn Inheritance". I love this time period, who knew that King Henry was such a freak?! Anyway, it is of course fictional but based on real characters- so you explain that. I love Anne's personality & if I were her I would've cut off his you- know-what and threw it in the river. Good Read. Also: I just found out they are making a movie out of her other book "The Other Boleyn Girl".

30 Things for 30 People

I'm stealing this idea from my cousin Jessica (J.) who really is the most clever girl in the world! Also a very good writer, not that I'm an expert in anyway. It is thirty things for thirty people I know, things I want to say but haven't been able to. Only a few will find the one that belongs to them- the rest of you will analyze them until you die:

  • 1.You are the person I fear the most.
    (You are too important)

2.I admire your brillance, I'm jealous.
(That is a hard thing to admit))

    3. You are an excellent friend!

    4. No poet with all the words under the sky could describe my love for you.

    5. You are a silly boy, and will always be.(Good for you)

    6. You have made very clear how you feel about me.(I'm still fine with it)

    7. I fear I've placed you on a pedestal you don't deserve.

    8. I wish we had been closer.
(I don't miss you or your funny ways)

    9. You once told me something I'll never forget.
    (I won't say, you can't make me)

    10. It is incredibly hard to be around you.
(Too loud, it makes my head hurt)

    11. I wish you could see what I see in you.

    12. I think you will damage yourself, I worry.
    (Life isn't that bad)

    13. You are so creative, and lovely.

    14. You have confusing talents that are beyond my grasp.
    (Keep on truckin')

    15. I miss you most of all.
(You would have loved her, I know he does)

    16. You should look at your surroundings more.

    17. Without you, some situations would be unbearable.
    (Please don't leave)

    18. He is lucky to have you.

    19. You are my hero.

    20. Sometimes I wonder if you know how much potential you have.
    (I hope so)

    21. I'm sorry that I said those things to you.
(It's hard for me to be nice- to you)

    22. Your need for attention is very disheartening.
    (It wasn't clear until recently)

    23. You have changed my life for the better.
    (Most of the time)

    24. Thank you for teaching me that lesson.
(Gratitude is the most sincere form of flattery)

    25. You prove that being cheesy is ok, in fact it's fascinating.

    26. I wish desperately that I could help you.
    (No one can)

    27. You have had much affect on others, just not me.

    28. You will be the best Mom ever, because yours wasn't.

    29. I want to see you more, you make me laugh.

    30. Stop complaining, yelling, and being just plain annoying.
(I probably paid for everything you own)
  • Nothing Says Birthday Like...

My Husband- what a guy?! He took me shopping for my birthday and thanks to a bunch of people in my family I had some money to spend! The 'rents came over and brought this lovely cake (my Mom went to a lot of trouble, trust me) & we watched Pirates on our new big screen.

    Jolly & Folly...

UVSC had Santa come up on Monday. This was McKenzie's first time meeting the big guy. I thought she was going to scream turns out I'm the only one with a fear of St. Nick.

    Baby Baby Baby

    R.I.P.

Mr. George Harvey I- passed away in the early morning hours of December 3, 2007. The cause of death is assumed drowning. George was a beloved pet in the Harvey houshold, some might even say he was the glue that held us all together. He will be dearly missed! Funeral services were held at the T.B. Memorial located on the corner of Sink and T.U.B. Thank you for your continued support through this most grevious time.
