I thought it would never happen. Jim & Pam finally got together, yeah!!!! If you know anything about me you know that I'm CRAZY about The Office. I couldn't not post concerning the information on last night's premiere. Probably one of the best episodes of all time. Dwight actually locked Sprinkles in the freezer- she died. Hilarious. Jan is a psycho and Ryan thinks he's better than sliced cheese. I'm completely addicted.
Time is a companion that goes with us on a journey. It reminds us to cherish each moment, because it will never come again. What we leave behind is not as important as how we have lived.

Serendipity
I admit it; I'm a sucker for romantics. My favorite scene is when Sara's boyfriend proposes to her with the rose petals & candles all over the place. Then the huge box that gets smaller and smaller... Fantastic! Anyway I do love this message: there are no true accidents yes, I believe in fate! Serendipity gets 4 out of 5 books.
Zodiac
This had great potential to be a good movie, unfortunately... The story of the zodiac killer was told in 2 1/2 hours and could've been shortened to 1 1/2 hours. I've liked Jake Gyllenhaal since Brokeback Mountain. He did a great job in the movie. P.S. The end of the story: what a let down! I did enjoy the mystery and it was probably helpful that I knew nothing about this guy. Zodiac receives 2 out of 5 watches.
Brigadoon
Gene Kelly is obviously the definition of classic. This movie was on PBS when I happened to be channel surfing and stumbled onto it. I loved it, even better McKenzie couldn't take her eyes off of the screen. It's a musical about what else: people falling in love. Great! Van Johnson does a fantastic job playing the best character, very sarcastic. We give Brigadoon 4 out of 5 kilts.
Bobby
If you haven't seen this movie, I recommend it. Everyone knows the story about Bobby Kennedy. In a round-a-bout way this film wasn't even about him but had everything to do with him. There are A LOT of famous people who play characters and the only one I didn't really know is the blonde cosmotoligist. The worst part of this story is that it is hauntingly reminiscent of what is happening today in our country. I guess we didn't learn our lesson. I give Bobby five out of five American Flags.
Music & Lyrics
I adore "love stories". This was not one of them. I didn't even finish this film, it was awful!! I like Drew Barrymore and Hugh Grant. Hopefully they learned their lesson: they make a hideous acting team. The comedic timing was all off and both characters were "patchy". I'm not even dignifying Music & Lyrics with a rating.
Premonition
I think this film started out confusing. I even told Heath, "I don't understand what is going on". About halfway through I either started to get it or the aspirin I took were starting to kick in. Sandra Bullock is a good actress but every character she plays is exactly the same. It wasn't predictable- I'll give it that. I did like the underlying theme of trying to fix your life to avoid "accidents". Premonition gets three out of five dead crows.
Disturbia
I thought this film was slightly predictable. The characters were believable but the storyline wasn't. In fact- I think a lot of teenagers today would be more than happy to be under house arrest. It would give them a great excuse to play video games all day. However, I've been a fan of Shia's since "Even Stevens" and thought his acting was okay. Overall I give Disturbia two out of five binoculars. P.S. It wasn't really that scary.
Movie Reviews
We are signed up with Netflix. I get precious time on the weekends to watch a few movies and thought I would share my feelings about them. Please feel free to comment on whatever you agree or disagree with. I don't consider myself an expert on film review. P.S. I tried to find a rating system online and failed miserably! So- I will use whatever comes into my head or that is related to the movie. It will be based on the 5-star system.

I'm Sorry.
Soldier Hollow
Labor Day weekend was filled with fun, work, and hardly any rest. Mom and I were busy at the store- thank you Swiss Days. Granmere even stopped by to help us for a few hours. Then on Sunday we went to the Soldier Hollow Classic. If you have ever seen the movie "Babe" you know what a sheep dog challenge is. It is a lot of fun to watch. Hopefully we can go every year.
